Summary (cr: goodreads)
To satisfy his late father's wishes, hot and single billionaire Michael Conte must find a bride; someone who will fit into his traditional family back home in Italy and fast, so his engaged sister will be allowed to wed. With no intention of being tied down, Michael proposes to fiery, free-spirited photographer Maggie Ryan: if she will play the part of his fiancee during her trip to Milan for a photo shoot, he will keep away from her married best friend, Alexa, and stop making Maggie nuts with their too-close-for- comfort flirtations.
But once in Italy, sexual tension sparks the hottest no-strings- attached arrangement on any continent. Could marriage be the most enticing trap of all?
My Review: (also in goodreads)
Lookback: The Marriage Bargain
Gaze withdrawn from that interesting cover, well. Anyway, this was one of those series wherein all stories are in the same universe; that in some way everyone is connected. This is what happens in the second book. Maggie, who suggested her best friend to her brother in the first book is somehow the protagonist of this sequel and the hot guy? Michael Conte, the Italian whom Nick was jealous of at the first book and who is somehow their close family friend now. The story is set a year after the first book happened and it seems like Maggie believes that Michael is in love with her married best friend. On the other hand, Michael is pressured into getting married since his sister wants to get married and by tradition, she couldn't tie the knot if he didn't first. That's where the story starts. Compared to the first book, I just liked this. There were parts where I was bored but I guess I finished it in one sitting somehow. And the book! That spell book is somewhat involved again.
Till the next read...
